We are not in Kansas anymore!!!!

Today we left Kansas behind and rode into St. Joseph, Missouri. The winds were in our favor today. It was fun sailing along without pedaling for part of the ride. We are starting to have hot days now. I can feel the humidity in the air too. More and more it feels like home.

The roads in Missouri are in poor shape. I had to go back and forth from the shoulder to the road just to avoid debris and potholes. I had a flat today at mile 75. It was a piece of debris. Joanna had 2 flats today. We are getting real good at tire changing! Argh!

This afternoon was spent catching up on chores not done yesterday. I wanted to take a much needed nap but it was my turn to do the laundry. Our work is never done!!

Not much to report about scenery today. All looked the same as before. I understand that Missouri has a lot of hills. I'll let you know on that.

Stats for today:
85 miles
4:46 time
34.7 max
18 average

Thanks for all the encouraging comments. I love reading them!! Hopefully my webmaster will post some pictures for you soon. One picture I hope you will see is of Joanna and my hands. We are getting some funny tan lines.
